The peace of the forest,

the gentle breeze,

the crisp fallen leaves

from the Live Oak trees.

The birds flying swiftly

thru the sky, I thanked

God for these, Didn't I

The burdens I couldn't

seem to bear,

He picked me up,

He made me care.

He loved me though

I don't know why,

I thanked Him, Didn't I

He took away my

sadness and sorrow,

gave me hope for

a new tomorrow.

The joys that replaced

the tears I did cry,

I thanked Him, Didn't I

He keeps me in line

if I start to stray,

He gives me strength

for each new day.

To trust Him completely

and never ask why,

I thanked God, Didn't I

For family and friends

who mean so much

I've given them a hug,

they've felt my touch.

Without ever letting

a day go by, I

thanked Him, Didn't I

For comfort, compassion,

understanding and peace,

His promises, they

will never cease.

For giving His Son,

Jesus alone to die,

I thanked God, Didn't I

Yes, He's everywhere

I go it seems,

He's in a smile,

He's in a breeze.

He takes my tears

and wipes them dry,

I remembered to

thank Him, Didn't I
