For the love of poetry...

I began writing poetry when I was a young girl, mostly poems for my Mother, as she was ill a lot of the time I was growing up.  Poetry is such a release of ones self... like therapy  for the body and soul.

Over the years I compiled my poetry along with some of my Mothers wonderful recipes with all intentions of trying to have a book published.  But, I never did it as procastinating is one of my worst habits that I just happen to be best at!  However, eventually I did write a Childrens Picture Book titled:  "Homer the Horribly Homely Hornet".  I did a lot of research and sent it to several publishers.   You do have to believe in yourself, and I did feel this book was good as it sent a powerful message to children to believe in yourself, no matter what. 

I thought the greatest moment would be to have my book published because I had something to say... but in fact the greatest moment for me was when I really believed in myself.  

And now...

I feel encouraged by God to express my love for Him by sharing my spiritual poems,  possibly touching the heart of someone who does not know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.   I also would like to share many of the other poems I wrote in hopes of somehow touching your heart.
